“Catholic Extension’s Lumen Christi Award honors an individual or group working in an Extension Diocese who demonstrates how the power of faith can transform lives and communities. Lumen Christi recipients are the hidden heroes in our midst. They bring light and hope to the forgotten corners of our country and inspire those around them to be the “Light of Christ” as well.” (Learn more on Catholic Extension’s website)
Each year, the Archdiocese may nominate one individual or group of individuals to Catholic Extension for this prestigious national award.
Parishes and parishioners are encouraged to collaborate and recommend a nominee for the Award. Here are the relevant documents:
All nominations must be received by Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, to be considered. Even if your nominee isn’t selected this year, he or she may be featured in our newspaper’s Saints Among Us column to show our appreciation for their lives of love and service.
